How we're supporting local community projects with grants

Through our grants programme, the Thriving Communities Fund, we have been able to extend assistance to support the efforts of Waddesdon Hall with their community project. The Waddesdon Community Hub & Community Projects cover various areas of support including education, skills development, cultural enrichment, social inclusion, and collaborative partnerships.

At the Waddesdon Hall's community project, they aim to address pressing issues such as the energy crisis and loneliness. The inclusion of initiatives like the Community Fridge and emergency food bank not only tackles financial hardships but also contributes to environmental sustainability by reducing waste. Similarly, the Swap Shop initiative promotes environmental consciousness and low-cost clothing and household options, raising awareness about reusing and recycling items.

The overarching goal of this project is to make a tangible difference in the lives of community members. Waddesdon Hall aims to ensure that more individuals have access to essential services, educational programmes, and support networks.

Agnieszka, on behalf of the Waddesdon Hall Committee, said: “Thanks to the generous support from Fairhive, we are delighted to provide a welcoming community space for residents and organisations.

Through your grant, we have been able to initiate various programs that make a positive impact. Our Welcoming Space invites people to drop by for a warm drink and a friendly chat, fostering a sense of connection. The Community Fridge not only helps prevent food waste but also encourages sharing among community members, assisting those who may need extra support.

Additionally, our Family Cooking classes and Stay & Play Café contribute to the well-being of parents, offering them valuable support. Together, these initiatives aim to create a resilient and supportive community during these challenging economic times. We are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference, and none of this would be possible without your support from Fairhive. Thank you for helping us build a stronger, more connected community.”
